Lesson planning can be tricky for new teachers with little experience. You want to have structure for the duration of the class but you still need flexibility for when problems arise, activities take longer than you planned, or to make the class more enjoyable for the students. A lesson plan should include these things: learner objectives, personal objectives, a language point, teaching aids, anticipated problems, procedure, phase, timing, interaction, class level, number of students, the date, and possibly your name and an observer's name if needed. In addition to lesson planning, you should plan lesson sequences as well. Depending on how each lesson goes, this will change too.
