This unit has reinforced ideas I already had about the importance of planning a lesson before class. Indeed, planning makes the class have direction and run smoothly. My most recent employer requires me to begin preparing at least 20 minutes before a class is scheduled to begin. Timing is very important as I need to complete the class in 90 minutes. Challenges encountered are usually not a result of poor planning but discipline issues which tends to slow down the class. Then , some activities get less time or there is then a need to be flexible and shift some those activities to another day. Otherwise, this unit has improved my outlook into lesson planning.
