This unit taught me how lesson planning can be beneficial. Although teachers may not have to do it, it can help them create goals/objectives, as well as be more prepared for classes, and can help monitor progress and previous activities to see what worked well and what didn't. It is really important to make sure that if you use a lesson plan, to always stay flexible and not let it become too fixed and strict. Because even though you may lesson plan, the lesson may not go accordingly and you must be able to be flexible and ready for any potential problems or changes that may occur in the classroom. This unit also taught me what should be included in a lesson plan, as well as different activities which can be used for lesson planning.
