Lesson planning is crucial for teachers sometime, especially for new teachers, a formal lesson plan serves multiple functions in general lesson planning. After reading unit 9, I learned to include the following information in my lesson plan: "Teacher, date and time, class level, room, expected numbers, context, focus, learner objectives, teacher aims, anticipated problems for the students and for the teacher. Lesson planning can provide a stable structure for the lesson and also keeps track of what the learners have been learning about. Furthermore, it also acts as a guideline for cover teachers in case of any emergency or taking up on a sick leave. The cover teacher can easily have a look at the lesson plan we provided and see which activity needs to be completed.
