Here we have examined the various future tenses and how and when they are best used, and in which circumstances each should be used. We have looked at the structure of the tense, and how positive, negative and question sentences are formed for each tense. We have looked at how these tenses are used to indicate future events or actions and where there could be a choice of tenses that are applI cable (e.g. making predictions). We have been given examples of typical mistakes that students are likely to makensure. The example activities given in the unit to help students use and practice these tenses are really useful ideas.
