The unit focused on modals, phrasal verbs and passive voice. It focused on the basic rules regarding modal auxiliary verbs and also went on to outline the uses of modal verbs. The unit focused on the two types of voices used in English which are the active and passive voices. Another concept that is covered in this unit is that of phrasal verbs and the three types of phrasal verbs. I learnt how modal auxiliary verbs are used in the present or future tense and in the past tense. I also learnt that only transitive verbs are used in the passive voice and it is impossible to use intransitive verbs when using the passive voice.
