This unit was about past tenses used in the English language. These tenses are expressed through: Past simple, Past continuous, Past perfect and Past perfect continuous. When using the past simple tense in the English language, it is to express a definite time in the past. However, the past simple tense has many irregular verbs without any specific rules as to why, such as ?forget? which becomes ?forgot? in past simple tense. I knew the formation of these tenses inherently since English is my mother tongue, however learned a lot from this unit in how they are named and the actions associated to them.
