In this unit of the TEFL course, I learned about vocabulary, grammar and functions. I learned how to teach vocabulary, how to select the right type of vocabulary and the different activities you can use while teaching the students in your class. Most of the time vocabulary lessons follow the straight arrow type of ESA style of lesson. While grammar lessons are usually taught with the patchwork ESA style and teaching language functions is with the Boomerang ESA style. In each of these three categories I learned the different types of activities you can do while working with the students to get to the end goal of the lesson.
