This unit was helpful for problem situations. The unit provided examples of potential problems in the classroom ranging from large class sizes to over-use of native language to behavior problems and learning gaps. Suggestions were given that bring order back to the class and make language learning fun and useful. The unit provides ideas for the first day of class as well as how to ensure all the students learn. I enjoyed this unit because the suggestions given leave room for a teacher to grow by combining ideas such as pairing students from different levels and giving additional work to those who finish activities quickly.
