Unit twelve covers productive skills, speaking and writing. Speaking is essential in the classroom, but writing can be a more difficult skill to approach, especially when factoring in the cultural differences in written languages. And while reading proves a good exercise it’s not the best classroom activity, though games and creative writing activities may present opportunities for writing exercises. The guidelines of what to do before and during a lesson to create an environment in which students feel comfortable to participate and make mistakes, was especially eye opening because while students may have reasons not to participate it’s the teacher’s responsibility, through preparation.
