Especially for an inexperienced teacher such as myself, I have found that preparing a lesson plan before hand helps immensely. As I am taking the TOEFL course, I'm already trying to incorporate the ESA method into my own short classes, engaging with the students, studying new material and finally activating what they have learned. However, I have also noticed that students do not always respond as I imagined, so tweaking the lesson plans and being flexible during the lesson is very much needed. This unit has given me good tips on how to achieve that.
