This unit focuses on the skills of speaking and writing. It talks about the accuracy and fluency of these skills, and how they both are integral to learning properly. It discusses how to handle certain types of activities as well as examples of activities to use when teaching students who are learning a new language. It has extensive guidelines to properly teaching creative speaking activities that should be considered as the improper implementation can have a negative affect on the students learning process as with most situations. It points of numerous times the importance of having your students interest and what not to do so as not to embarrassed the students or make the feel like they are singled out in the classroom. The "second" part of this unit discussed writing skills specifically. Talking about handwriting skills and spelling etc. It taught me that most people skip this stage of the students learning, much to the students detriment as it can be a crucial part of how they learn the language. This unit also taught me many ways to engage the classroom using the ESA method as well as a number of interesting games that can be used to help students learn, even at all age levels.
