This unit was all about evaluation and testing. I found that the module focused mainly on testing and not as much on tutorials and evaluation by students. Testing is a given in any school or language center. I definitely understand the need for testing and feel like it is a good judge of current language ability. However, I do agree with the fact that it is sometimes a test of memory and not knowledge. Some schools overload their students with classwork, homework and then tests, assignments and exams that this becomes the sole purpose of study. Incorporating more self or peer evaluation could maybe help this problem.
