I agree that conditionals and reported and direct speech must be taken slowly with the students, since I myself had to take this slowly. Many of these things come naturally to a native English speaker, but I noticed that even native English speakers say many of these things incorrectly. When two native English speakers are talking, it can be very casual and mistakes are not noticeable. I believe this will make teaching/learning a bit more difficult but I note from the unit that it's OK and as long as it's taught slowly and deliberately, hopefully, there won't be many issues. Much of it is memorization and repetition.
