Structures of past tenses are not too different than present tenses. All continuous forms feature some form of the verb. If the verb ''to be'' is in the present, it will be present continuous. If the verb ''to be'' is in the past, it will be the past continuous. All perfect continuous forms feature some form of the verb ''to have''plus ''been'', plus the ''ing''form of the verb. If the verb ''to have'' is in present, it will be present perfect continuous. If the the verb '' to have'' is in the past, it will be past perfect continuous. And past simple is used for actions complited at a definite time in the past.
