The final unit of this TEYL course focuses on the EFL teacher?s professional development. It covers the topics of cultural issues, applying for and keeping employment, producing an effective CV/résumé and cover letter, and pursuing additional qualifications. I learnt about several professional associations and organizations that EFL teachers can join, and also benefited from the general EFL webliography provided. This unit increased my awareness of certain cultural issues that I may encounter during my teaching career, and provided invaluable advice to help with the job hunting process and interview stage.
