This unit is about how to teach grammar and vocabulary. In this unit I learned how to choose vocabulary and grammar based on what the students really need to know in order to communicate effectively. I also learned what affects their ability to remember vocabulary. I found it interesting that this chapter seems to suggest teaching the written and spoken forms of words and grammar at the same time. We don't usually cover this, as my students mostly use English for writing and reading. This chapter reminded me that it's important for the students to know the spoken form so that they can recognize it when it's spoken.
