This unit regards such topic as the use of authentic and non-authentic materials at class and how to create our own tasks by adapting authentic pieces of information. As a rule, original, non-adapted texts in English boost students' motivation and self-esteem. They should be properly leveled, though, in order to suit learners' level of English. The other topics covered include lesson planning, classroom management and coursebooks. Classroom management for me personally may present the most challenging area in teaching since the adult learners tend to be quite organised and focused on the class, unlike the young ones.
