This unit was almost a direct mirror of the present tense unit, but with the primary verb in the past tense. The sections outlining irregularities in the past tense was useful. I was hoping there might be more to it than \"memorize the irregularities\" as this is always difficult news to break to a student. The past perfect continuous tense was particularly interesting. Even as a native speaker it was difficult to comprehend the usage for this tense. Activities using this tense would be difficult to create. The common mistakes listed in all of the tenses are becoming more predictable with each new tense I read about.
