This unit is where a lot of group work and activities can be incorporated. As someone who learned another language academically from a young age until young adulthood, the hardest part about learning the language was speaking and writing. I struggled with speaking due to confidence but after doing a lot of conversations and discussions, it boosted my confidence. I still struggle with the writing portion since my second learned language has different characters/letters. I can understand the importance of teaching productive skills. It's really beneficial in the real world- slightly more applicable in day to day life.
