This unit has enabled me to have a thorough understanding on how receptive skills work and how to approach any potential problems that could have risen during a teaching class. In any language, we have general knowledge that we need to know how to listen and read to learn a language properly. When we read and listen, we do it with intent; be it predicting a story from a headline, scanning through a report for a specific information, skimming an article to get a general idea of what's happening and etc. The tips at the end of this unit has given me much insight on how to conduct a successful receptive skill lesson.
