When writing a lesson plan there is no exact formula. The first thing to consider is what you would like the students to achieve, as well as what you as a teacher would like to get from the lesson. Another consideration would be whether there are a series of lessons connected, or if the su bject is covered in a single class. Then there is the organizational aspect; making sure you have all of the materials and aids in order. Anticipated problems should be thought of, as well as possible solutions. Activities need to be planned that support the learner objective. Class size, level and timing need to be factored in. One way to help a lesson run smoothly is to keep a log of dates, times,and how each phase went so in the future one can plan accordingly.
