In this unit, I have learned that lesson plans are there to help new teachers be prepared for teaching students, but they do not need to rely on the plan wholeheartedly. The lesson plan should be flexible so that it can be altered to the needs of the students, but should still be helpful to the teacher to look back on so they know what was taught. The lesson plan is used to help teacher's remember what was taught in class, what students like more when it comes to activities, and how it should be changed if some things were not engaging enough for the students.
