This unit highlights the need to plan for each lesson, record activities and materials employed, monitor progress and note changes to the original plan. This will enable continuity and a guide should you be absent for any reason for a subsequent lesson. Using the template lesson plan would allow consistency and give focus whist a new teacher develops their own style and teaching techniques. Documenting a lesson plan even in simple form allows a judgement regarding content, timing and preparing for any deviation from the plan.
