Unit 6 presents a broad overview of the past tenses. It contains a concise description of the composition and usage of past simple tense, past continuous tense, past perfect tense and past perfect continuous tense. Each component describes the contrast in occurrences of specific actions in the past as it relates to the differences in time frame and duration ? events that ended versus ongoing. This section also presents an opportunity for me to work with my students in first identifying common student?s misunderstanding/confusion and present ideas in simplest forms that will facilitate the learning process.
