In unit nine, the topic of lesson planning was introduced and discussed. The purpose and importance of lesson planning was explained in addition to basic principles to keep in mind when doing so. The reader learned how to create a basic lesson plan, how to maintain consistency and allow for flexibility. In addition, the importance of periodic self and class evaluations was discussed. The example self-evaluation form provided gave multiple examples of what to keep track of and update as one progresses through their teaching career. I learned the importance of not only gauging the progress of the student but the self.
