We have learned a great deal from the tefl course. It helped us understand 'outside of the box' and gave us a different perspective towards teaching english to learners of all ages. Even though we are native english speakers, there were many aspects of grammar and phonology systems that were learned throughout the course. Lesson planning is a huge part of being a teacher and learning the various stages of the planning changed our approach to writing them greatly. We have taught in Asia as english Teachers already, so our plan is to teach in north america to newly arrived immigrants or ESL students and help their english to the best of our ability. Future studies such as a CELTA would be possible for us down the road as well. Overall, we enjoyed the course quite a bit, it was well structured and covered all the areas we thought it would and more. We now feel more confident in teaching in a classroom setting to different age groups.
