I have gained a tremendous amount from this course, not least, a lot about my own language and how it is formed and used. I feel I am now aware of how to plan my time and lessons according to student levels and needs and that proper planning and preparation is essential. It has made me very aware that all students are individuals and should be treated as such. Also, it is good to know that there is a wealth of reading and resource material available on-line or in books to assist with future lessons. I have found ?The Practice of english Language Teaching? by Jeremy Harmer particularly useful to date. I think the course is well structured and informative and I will use the content in future when I hopefully begin my career in teaching english to foreign students.
