I gained a lot from this course, especially when it comes to lesson plans and classroom management. These areas I have studied before when getting my initial teaching degree but learning the methods that are used for ESL students and the like I have gained insight into new methods. Thankfully due to this course my own understanding of the fundamentals of english that I have always taken for granted has increased to where I am able to actually understand the inherent properties in the language rather than just going off of nature. Another aspect as a teacher for any discipline that the course helped me gain and that is a greater appreciation for difference in the classroom and how to work on clarification. At this point my goals for beyond this is to continually study the units to gain better understanding and to keep it fresh in my head and hopefully sometime next year to go teach elsewhere, I have my dream locations, but I understand that they are dream locations and I am not set on them as being the only options.
