The second lesson was more effective then the first lesson overall. For the following reasons. The manner of the teacher was more friendly, as he introduced himself and asked the students names. He smiled and his voice was more relaxed and not as abrupt as in the first lesson. For the start of the lesson, he had written something up already to minimise having his back turned and allow more teaching time. Before doing the exercises he would give a correct example so the students knew what to do. Compared to the first lesson, where he jumped right into the activity without explanation. He was a lot more encouraging, whereas he disparaged the students more in the first lesson, notably saying who was wrong or had lost the game. The rapport was better as you can see the students laughing and more relaxed during the start when he was eliciting words from them. Not as much in the first lesson, since he kept wanting a specific answer.
