This unit focuses on Phonology. It highlights three main areas; Intonation, Stress and Rhythm. Intonation carries the message in a sentence and expresses feeling as well. Intonation either rises and falls, falls and rises, or remains flat throughout a sentence. Stress indicates the word that is of interest in a sentence. Rhythm has to do with the process of articulation of words in the vocal organs.
