Unit 11 taught me the importance of the receptive skills when trying to gather information, and the importance of making sure english learners can develop their receptive skills while learning the english language. I learned how both reading and listening are highly important for any language and how we process information when we go about our lives. I never thought about how these type of skills really shape how we process information, and how important it is for new english learners to have these skills while learning english.
