This is entirely new information and a lot to soak in, but I think overall, I was able to learn the variables in phonetics and how to better describe it to students. Learning how to describe the difference in /th/ sounds for example, or use phonetic spelling to explain sounds. I will need more practice in understand the phonetic spellings and how to share with students, but I can see how that will be helpful in teaching.
