In this unit, I learnt about the 3 different aspects of teaching pronunciation which are intonation, stress and articulation. Intonation refers to the rise and fall of a sentence and how that would affect the purpose and meaning of a sentence. Stress refers to an emphasis that are placed onto individual syllable which enhance the point of subject which speaking. Lastly, articulation is looking at how the speech organs are altered and used when demonstrating a specific phonome. Also, I learnt about IPA and how to use it to allow students to build up a pronunciation for the desire word.
