In this lesson I have learned the importance of teaching phonetics to learners of a new language. This is something that I (practically a native speaker) took very much for granted. I previously did not realize the difficulty level in teaching someone something which comes so natural to me. I understand why many teachers would not feel very comfortable teaching this because I still do not feel adapt to teach it. I will be reading up more about this subject as it has peaked my interest and I would like to be able to answer any questions my students have confidently.
