It means the teacher must be flexible and change their role in the activity and situation. Effective classroom management is the way for the teacher to engage the students in learning. You can imagine, with a poor management class, students don’t know what to do, they make noise, race between desks. It will be hard for teachers to do their job well. Teachers will take more time to handle problems and almost assuredly elevate your stress and burnout rates. Morever, effective classroom management gives the students little time to misbehave. Because the expectations are clearly explained, the students know what they need to do. Reward specific students at the end of each lesson, in front of the class, as another motivational technique. Thirdly, grouping students. Teachers can group students in the classroom in different ways: whole-class grouping, students on their own, pairwork, groupwork. About whole-class grouping, it creates an engaging atmosphere, allows students to interact with any other class members. Teacher can organize quicker and easier. It’s a way to reduce opportunities for students to speak. It’s not effective if teacher wants to encourage individual contribution and discussion. There’s not chance of speaking for everyone . About students working on their own, teacher can respond to individual students. grouping students. It helps the students become more self-reliant. But sense of belonging and cooperation are not encouraged. With pairwork, it gives students a safe feeling to share ideas and thoughts. It allows stronger students to help and support weaker ones. The teacher has time to work with all pairs. But some students prefer to relate with the teacher than with other learners who have the same linguistic level. Students may find themselves working with a partner they don’t particularly like. Groupwork increases amount of talking. It encourages students to cooperate and negotiate in English. Fourthly, establishing rapport. Rapport between the teachers and students is very important to contribute a successful class. When the atmosphere is relaxed and students get on well with the teacher, they enjoy in the lesson. To help establish rapport, the teacher should make sure the students know each other’s names and a little basic information about each other. At the beginning of a course, there is an ice breaking activity. At the beginning of a lesson, there is warming-up. It is a win-win for both teachers and students. Another way, teacher can choose materials and activities that help students share personal opinions or ideas. An important thing, teacher is always positive in everything they do. They should smile in class. Next, classroom arrangement. Seating arrangements are very important to the classroom for interaction, atmosphere, and behavior. Proper seating can be a useful tool to accomplish class objectives. It is better to put a weak student together with a stronger one for pair-work activities. Stronger one can help weaker make progress. If the students get to work with different people and personalities, teacher can mix pairs. Finally, responding to problem behaviour. When students have problem behaviour, teachers should respond that action immediately. Don’t wait that problem to worsen. If teachers are strict with students' misconduct , they do not repeat the offense. In this situation, teachers should focus on the behaviour and not the students, try to keep calm, keep the problem student behind after class In order to really manage classroom well, teachers need to know a combination of effective techniques When students feel your passion and know where the learning is headed, they’ll be pumped to rise to the occasion.
