Just as I learned with the usages of the past tense forms, the future tense forms are even more complex. It is obvious that this is the most difficult tense to teach because of the various usage forms. In my experience speaking another language I notice that there are not as many future tense forms as in the English language. I have also witnessed first hand having parents from another country the common mistakes made with this future tense, especially with regards to the future continuous form and usage. Knowing both worlds, I believe I can create a great lesson plan based on the ESA model to make the transition easier for my future ESL students.
