I've gained a lot of knowledge from this course. I had no idea prior to this course that teaching english would be so detailed oriented or can be creative. I personally thought that the teachers were given a text book or course book and then teach right out of the book. I had no idea that teaching involved this much detail, anyhow, I learned how to create lesson plans and how to utilize them to optimize my teaching time and improve my teaching skills. I learned that each student must be taught in the same manner, however, some students require a little more attention than others and I learned that the teacher can structure his or her own class to fit how he or she wants to teach, as long as he or she is aware that the students are retaining the information that is being taught. This was a great course in introducing me to fantastic teaching ideas and tools that I will definitely use in the future as I begin my career. Thank you to Darren, my tutor, for helping me understand every aspect of the course and giving me new ideas and suggestions throughout the lessons. I appreciate it.
