Prior to undergoing this course of study, I had hitherto no formal teaching experience. I have delivered numerous worked based training courses and this has given me a foundation and a degree of confidence in respect of student development. What I have learned through this course will be extremely valuable in my future teaching career. Shortly after enrolling on the tefl course I secured a teaching post at the local Community College due to my legal and management background. In recent months, I have been able to introduce many aspects of my personal learning gained by going through the various Units and use these to good effect in my lessons. There are many techniques which I now use in relation to classroom management, the productive and receptive skills and also using lesson plans to ensure my lesson have a specific sense of direction and identifiable objectives. I plan to take all the skills I have learned and apply these to any future opportunities I may have in relation to Teaching english as a Foreign Language. In addition, there are also many aspects which I can adapt and apply to other areas of teaching which I will continue with. I have thoroughly enjoyed the course and believe it has been both stimulating and worthwhile.
