This unit provided the best overall clarification yet for me in this course. It clearly outlined how we learn from listening and reading. In language teaching it is important to provide interesting topics to engage students. Difficult vocabulary words can be pre-taught and then a text can be carefully re-read to be understood completely . As a teacher it is important to plan a lesson that promotes understanding during an activation phase. Overall this provided a lot of insight into how to create an interesying and effective lesson.
