In this unit, two examples of a typical ESL lesson were shown as videos. It clearly demonstrated what to do and what not to do as a teacher and does so by allowing us to observe and judge for ourselves. It showed how a well structured lesson with a clear understanding of the students' English level is important as the students in the first video was very confused by difficult words such as 'necessary' and 'regulation' whereas the teacher introduced those terms in the second video after demonstrating what they mean via the language point of using 'can/can't' and 'have to/don't have to'.
