This unit covers the two productive language skills - speaking and writing. It was interesting to learn about the benefits and drawbacks to concentrating on either accuracy or fluency when teaching speaking skills and that different types of activities are more appropriate for one or the other purpose. With writing, it will be important to be aware of how written English might be quite different from the student's native language in more ways than just characters and spelling.
