The future is terrifying, literally and figuratively. This particular tense is incredibly complicated. After reviewing this information, I was frankly reminded of how often I reference the future in my daily operations of my classroom. Specifically today, I said, "Your vocabulary quiz will be on Friday, not today." I am amazed that how easily speaking my native language comes to me, however, I am still overwhelmed by theories of English. As I continue through this course, I am gaining better insights into the life of my ESL students. English and the tenses it uses are complicated and continue to be challenging. I am hopeful that using resources and further reading will help my teaching career in a foreign country.
