Future tense is slightly more confusing than past or present tense. If not for the use of will or shall, future simple alone can be confused with present continuous or present simple. After learning about all the tenses, past & present included, I feel like I took my time in school for granted. Then again, my niece who grew up with English as her first language also gets confused with the tenses.
