The future tenses are complex and have a lot of overlapping meaning between the various forms outlined in this unit. For example, the future simple and 'be going' and infinitive can both convey predictions but future simple refers only to predictions based on no prior evidence. Future tenses also have complicated forms which may very easily be confused by inexperienced students. The proposed methods to teach this content has the potential to integrate many of the future tense forms into one lesson.
