This unit lists and explains each necessary component of what a successful lesson plan should include. However, teachers can design their own lesson plans based on their own liking of what should be included. This unit gives precise recommendations of how to structure a lesson plan, such as including the learner objectives, language points, teaching materials, procedure, phase, and timing. This unit also recommends to monitor the quality of the lessons the teacher is conducting to help them understand what they can improve on for the following lessons. I learned of examples of various study materials to use in the study phases, such as the questionnaire exercise "Where Have You Been?". I also learned what a written lesson plan may look like by reviewing the example of the standard lesson plan format.
