To start the class you want to encourage the the students verbal participation. It should be fun not intimidating; everyone should want to speak without fear of judgment or mistakes. After the class is warmed up and comfortable a review of the previous lessons should flow into the introduction of new material. This should be followed by an activity that will incorporate the new material into a group discussion or similar activity.
