This unit provided an overview on the different types of material (authentic/non-authentic) which are available to aid teaching, along with looking at lesson planning and utilizing resources. Although much of this information was covered off whilst completing my TEFL certification, it did serve as a reminder of the importance in ensuring that whilst designing materials for the classroom we must consider the 4 key points on page 4 and 5 of this unit. This is of particular importance if the lesson plan and material has been assembled and provided by someone else, to ensure the lesson objectives are being effectively achieved.
