From the Teaching Receptive Skills Unit I have learnt important information about two of the four basic language skills which are Reading and Listening. I've also learnt that reading and listening could be for a purpose or for entertainment. In addition to that, I've learnt important information about the important areas that understanding the context depends on, the possible problems with the listening and reading skills, the careful choice of the text and its language, creating the learners interest to be engaged in the tasks given, and choosing texts that promotes the understanding instead of checking the understanding.
