Unit 5 was full of useful insights into class management. The study material gave me an opportunity to look back at my years as a student and identify what exactly made classes run smoothly, as well as note what could have been done better. The most valuable parts of this unit for me were the ones that provided very specific tips, such as whether a teacher should be standing or sitting during certain activities, ways of making board-work less awkward and time consuming, and advice about maintaining discipline. Now I have a lot more confidence that I won?t stumble and fail miserably during my first weeks as a teacher.
